A Proud History

ISM—St. Louis, Inc. was founded in 1916 by two St. Louis area procurement professionals, F.W. Russe of the Mallinckrodt Chemical Company, and A. Sherwood of the Morton Salt Company.

Over 106 years later, ISM—St. Louis continues to provide local and national leadership in supply chain management, particularly in the areas of education and standards of excellence.

Welcome to the new and improved ISM—St. Louis website.  ISM—St. Louis, Inc. is a non-profit association dedicated to strengthening the community of procurement and supply management professionals in and around the St. Louis region.

Presently, we are offering a mix of events and training using both virtual and in-person approaches. Our virtual events are conducted on the Zoom or MS Teams platforms and can be accessed from any device at any location.

Dear ISM Family,

Happy New Year to all of you!

The board members and I are very excited about the events we have coming in 2024 and looking forward to growing this amazing community of supply chain professionals.    

It’s been a long couple years with the pandemic and all the consequential influences.

It’s been exceptionally impactful to our industry and has challenged supply chain in ways we never thought possible.

From this however, I believe it has highlighted our expertise and the bearing it has the success of all enterprises. 

Now, more than ever, companies are looking to supply chain and our ability to not only create stability, but also drive each organization in its effort to reach it’s goals and mission. 

Please keep an eye out for our upcoming events in 2024.

We have a refreshed plan to interact with all of members; not only from a professional but also social/networking standpoint.
